Live recording of SRV’s P&J from a recent show. Band is basically MS Moon minus a couple of members, plus a couple of guests. Bad recording – I just used the sound recorder on my phone propped up on an amp. But I thought I’d drop it out here regardless. The band grooves well.
Posted a new track on SoundCloud “Amore”:
Haven’t played any acoustic in a WHILE, so I decided to pick it up tonight. I was trying to remember how Chanson D’amour goes. It was wrong, but in the same vein. 2 track, no tweaking outside of a touch of reverb.
Band I’ve been playing with lately – great group of folks. We got a few clips from our last show.
Really fantastic paper here by law professor Donald Harris comparing the current state of copyright enforcement/infringement with Prohibition.
The basic takeaway – Prohibition failed through massive civil disobedience, which is to be expected when the law attempts to enforce broad societal norms that are not in line with the values of the populace. And apparently, copyright is headed in that direction.
